Project Scope

  • JMP has an opportunity to create standardised performance measurement, visual management, and continuous improvement systems at its manufacturing plant in Johannesburg.
  • The objective is to create flow, performance visibility and reduce all waste by installing the correct tools and training the teams on Lean manufacturing.

Project Outcomes

  • Improved employee engagement through visual management meetings.
  • Performance management throughout the plant with live display screen tools to drive efficiency improvement and strategic planning.
  • The scanning solution will afford the sales and production team the facility to trace orders through the manufacturing process.

Impacts

Improved efficiency of equipment and operators has also resulted in improvements to customer deliveries and will be extended to also drive improvements in supplier delivery control.
